Syesha Mercado took her 15mo son to All Children's Hospital for support when transitioning from extended breastfeeding to being bottle fed. On March 11th Child Protection Services arrived at her hospital room door and legally kidnapped her child. CPS claims that they refused a B12 shot that was life and death, which is an absolute lie. They never refused the shot, and at no point was their son on the verge of death.

Their son has since been placed with a white foster family without interviewing qualified relatives or friends of the family for placement while they investigate. They are only given limited information and presently only have an hour visitation with their son weekly, with no court order stating these visitation limits.

Syesha Mercado is a Mother, singer, songwriter, and creative entrepreneur who has had success on Broadway and as a 2nd place runner-up on season 7 of American Idol. Her proudest accomplishment in life is being a Mommy to her beautiful baby boy, Amen'Ra. Her partner Tyron is an educator and youth service professional who has been working in the foster system.
