What drew you to The Collective?

I was drawn to the Collective because of the diversity of offerings and the creative freedom that teachers are given. Plus, I can’t resist a well-lit, open studio. Feels like a blank canvas.

What kind of teacher are you?

My teaching style is creative, heartfelt, and playful. I believe that a balance between movement and stillness is vital to a well-lived life, and I support this balance in my classes. My goal is to create a little more spaciousness to settle into through movement, breath, and stillness.

It’s important to me to meet my students where they are and to encourage proper alignment in postures.

To me, yoga is a unification of mind, body, and spirit, a gentle peeling back of layers, a deep exhale, an exploration of consciousness, a philosophy, a community, and ultimately, a practice of love.

I am inspired by the people that come to my classes and the opportunity to share these practices.

What else are you up to?

In my free time, I’m engaging with my creativity through writing, drawing, and movement arts. Also, finding grounding through meditation and bodies of water. Collecting and sharing stories. Coddling my golden retriever. Talking to my plants.

I study somatic psychology and am fascinated by learning about the body’s role in mental health. Next year, I plan to enroll in a graduate program for Body Psychotherapy.

I'm a professional fire dancer, and perform in the Tampa Bay Area and beyond. I teach private and group lessons in dance/prop dance to all levels and love witnessing people grow in these creative practices.
