Rest as Resistance: A Healing Experience for Black Folks

Join us during Black History Month for an experience of somatic healing, sound bath, and Reiki, a sacred space for Black people to restore, release, and reconnect with the body’s innate wisdom.

Through gentle movement, immersive sound, and energetic healing, we will soften into rest, honoring the boundaries that protect our well-being and the compassion that allows us to surrender.

Rest is more than stillness—it’s an act of reclamation, a boundary, a remembering. In a world that has conditioned us to equate our worth with productivity, true rest requires unraveling deeply held beliefs about urgency, exhaustion, and care. To experience deep rest, we must first make space for it.

This is an invitation to exhale, to listen to what your body needs, and to simply be. No expectations, no pressure—just a moment to honor yourself, your rest, and your right to take up space in stillness.

Come as you are, and leave feeling lighter, grounded, and deeply held. Open to members of the Black community only.

Donation-Based: $10, $15 or $20
