Restore & Connect: Restorative Yoga and Embodied Journaling w/ Sami Mangione

This workshop will be 75 minutes of restorative yoga followed by 45 minutes of embodied journaling led by Sami Mangione. Restorative yoga is a deeply restful practice where the body is comfortably supported in postures that encourage the gentle opening of the spine in different directions. Following the practice, we will move through embodied journaling practices. Prompts are chosen to help you connect with messages from your body. Discussion will follow, and your contribution is encouraged but by no means necessary. These practices combined provide a powerful connection between the body, mind and heart. Deep restful states help you reclaim your truth and remember your embodied wisdom. Leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and connected to yourself and community!

Sami has a B.Sc. Psychology from the University of Florida, a B.A. Dance from the University of Florida, Dance in Medicine Certificate from the University of Florida, Anatomy in Action: Functional Awareness for Dancers, Towson University, is a 500-Hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor from Sanctuary Yoga & Wellness and Heartwood Yoga Institute, and is currently in progress with her IAYT Certified Yoga Therapy Training, Heartwood Yoga Institute.
